DOSAGE
Externally – Tincture 1:5 diluted 5 times with water
Ointment containing 10% to 25% tincture or ~15% oil infusion
Internally – Homoeopathic preparations only

Body Systems
- Internally Only as a homeopathic preparation
- The homeopathic preparations are primarily used for shock, injury and pain. It was formerly used internally as a treatment for angina but it can be toxic even at low dosage causing problems including severe gastro-enteritis, nervousness, accelerated heart rate, muscular weakness, and death.
Safety Notes
not to be taken internally except as a Homoeopathic preparation. External use can sometimes cause allergic or irritant dermatitis even on unbroken skin, probably due to sensitivity to the sesquiterpene lactones as with some other members of the Asteraceae
