Gardener’s Hand Lotion

Most people spend their time in the garden trying to get rid of plantain. You’ll know the one—that flat-leaved thing in the path that never really goes anywhere, no matter how many times you pull it up. It’s not a weed. It’s a mender.

It’s one of the first things I reach for if skin’s been pushed too far. Tight, sore, grit worked in where it doesn’t belong. It just has that way of quietly sorting things out without you having to fight it.

Then there’s linden. That’s the softer side of it. If your knuckles are red or starting to sting after a day outside, that’s where linden comes in. It takes the edge off without making a fuss.

The rest is just there to support. Mango butter, jojoba, rice bran. Nothing complicated. Just things that help your skin settle back into itself without leaving that coated, greasy feeling behind.

And benzoin… that’s a resin. Trees use it to seal their own wounds, so it makes sense to use it for ours. It sits in the background, doing its job.

The scent’s just the garden. Rosemary, cedarwood, a bit of frankincense underneath. Slightly green, slightly warm. No synthetic perfume trying to pretend to be something else.

That’s all it is, really. Just something for hands that have actually been doing something.
